Jon Beason suffers knee sprain in Giants-Jags game

Linebacker Jon Beason suffered a knee sprain in last night's Giants pre-season contest at MetLife stadium. Fortunately, it appears the often injured linebacker dodged a worse knee injury. That said, although listed as week to week, Tom Coughlin wasn't willing to rule him out of the Week 1 opener in Dallas. (NJ.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Beason's ability to remain on the field is an important component to the Giants D/ST value in fantasy. He should, however, be ignored as an IDP option.
