Jimmy Garoppolo expected to be released in March

The Raiders are expected to release Jimmy Garoppolo before the fifth day of the new league year in mid-March, when he would earn an $11.25 million roster bonus. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

It was also reported on Friday that Garoppolo is being suspended two games for violating the NFL’s Performance Enhancing Substances Policy. He was benched for rookie Aidan O’Connell last year and will now look to land with a new team this offseason.
