The Steelers are letting Fitzpatrick go and now have an open roster spot on their active roster. They signed him when Diontae Johnson went on IR with a hamstring injury, so this could possibly mean that Johnson will be back sooner rather than later. Until then, Calvin Austin III and Miles Boykin will both get more work as a result of his departure.
