According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, FB Alec Ingold is signing a three-year extension worth up to $17.2 million with the Miami Dolphins, making him the AFC's highest-paid FB. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Ingold, who is 27, saw a career-high usage in 2022, playing on 40% of the team's offensive snaps. The former Wisconsin Badger spent the first three years of his career with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders before signing with Miami in 2022. Joining a system that branches from the Kyle Shanahan tree in San Francisco, Ingold was a crucial part of Miami's offense under first-year head coach Mike McDaniel, despite only getting 21 touches last season. He is more valuable as a football player than a fantasy asset and will be a bonus to Miami's success offensively.
