According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Minnesota Vikings DT James Lynch tore his ACL and will undergo season-ending surgery. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Lynch played a limited role in 2022 as a rotational interior defender for the Vikings, playing on just 26% of the team's snaps. However, when he was on the field, he was one of the Vikings' most impactful run defenders — his 10.3% stop rate was first on the team among all defenders with at least 20 run defense snaps, according to PFF. Lynch has 50 tackles in the last two seasons. With some added options at DT over the offseason, like Jaquelin Roy and Sheldon Day, the Vikings will miss his versatility, as he has shown an ability to kick out to DE as well.
