Kellen Mond to start Hall of Fame Game for Browns
by Jordan Epp | Thu, Aug 3rd 9:52am EDT
According to Steve Wyche of NFL Network, QB Kellen Mond will start on Thursday for the Cleveland Browns in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game over rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. (Steve Wyche on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mond spent his rookie season in Minnesota after being drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He struggled to see the field, playing as the team's third QB behind Sean Mannion. Mond was waived by Minnesota in 2022 and then claimed by Cleveland shortly after but has not played a regular-season snap for the Browns. QB Joshua Dobbs is not expected to play and is expected to be the team's QB2, so Mond will get an opportunity to make a claim for that spot. Rookie Thompson-Robinson will play the second half.
