Ronald Jones II claims PED violation was due to heart medication
by Jordan Epp | Wed, Aug 2nd 3:25pm EDT
According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Dallas Cowboys RB Ronald Jones II claims that his PED violation was a result of prescription heart medication. He attempted to appeal but was denied. (Todd Archer, ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Jones claims that he has been taking a medication since entering the league and, while he understands he’s responsible for what he puts in his body, is disappointed in the NFL for their lack of assistance in the appeal process. Many players have claimed to have failed PED tests due to medication, so Jones’ claims are not uncommon across the league. Jones is facing a two-game suspension and wanted to clear his name following his suspension, especially as he looks to make it on the Cowboys’ final roster.
