Russell Wilson ’trimmed down,’ could run more this season

According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson has “trimmed down” and hinted he could use his legs more in 2023, something head coach Sean Payton has encouraged in camp. (James Palmer on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Wilson has always been a mobile quarterback, but he has always prioritized keeping his eyes downfield and scrambling to create the pass, not for the sake of running for yards. Wilson ran for 460 yards in his last two seasons combined, a mark he cleared in five of his first six seasons. With age, Wilson has been less of a running threat, but if he brings it back to his game, it makes him an intriguing fantasy prospect, especially if he shed weight to make himself faster.
