Alec Ogletree announces retirement from NFL

Veteran LB Alec Ogletree announced Wednesday that he is retiring from the NFL at the age of 31. Ogletree played nine seasons in the league with the Rams, Giants, Jets and Bears. (Ari Meirov on Twitter)

Ogletree started 110 games in his career, racking up 766 total tackles. He had three seasons with 100-plus tackles and four with 10-plus passes defended. In 2016, Ogletree was named to the All-Pro Second Team with the Rams after securing 136 tackles — nine for a loss — two interceptions and 11 passes defended. Ogletree last played in 2021, suiting up for 16 games with the Bears.
