Tony Moeaki will have opportunity to compete for TE position
by Kyle Borgognoni | Mon, Jul 13th 9:58pm EDT
Moeaki is battling with veteran Jacob Tamme to secure a coveted spot atop the depth chart in this high-powered Falcons offense. Historically, OC Kyle Shanahan has kept TEs heavily involved in his system. (AtlantaFalcons.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Despite some impressive numbers, Moeaki has also flown under the radar mostly due to injuries. As a rookie in 2010, he tallied 556 receiving yards and three touchdowns, which propelled him to the fifth-best Pro Football Focus grade among qualifying tight ends. However, he played in only eight games during the last two seasons and missed all of 2011. Wait until preseason to make the call on Moeaki.
