Nate Sudfeld signs with Detroit

According to Pro Football Focus' Ari Meirov, the Detroit Lions are signing QB Nate Sudfeld who was released by the San Francisco 49ers to be the team's backup to QB Jared Goff. (Ari Meirov on Twitter)

With the move, the Lions are waiving QB David Blough, showing no one won the backup-QB battle in Detroit. Sudfeld, a 2016 sixth-rounder, has played in just four career games, starting none, all with the Philadelphia Eagles.
