Jets quarterback Zach Wilson suffered a bone bruise and meniscus tear and will miss two to four weeks following arthroscopic surgery as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Wilson’s ultimate prognosis, even with the torn meniscus, is more positive than the initial fears of an ACL tear. Once Wilson undergoes arthroscopic surgery they will be able to better determine where in the two to four week timetable he will be in terms of recovery. The Jets obviously dodged a huge bullet and now fantasy managers just have to wait for the results of his surgery but he shouldn’t miss too much, if any, of the regular season. Managers should have other plans for the first couple of weeks of the season, just out of an abundance of caution. All Jets' skill players’ fantasy value remains steady pending the results of the surgery, even if he misses Week 1 or 2 as the Jets have veteran Joe Flacco and Mike White, who had a 400-yard game when Wilson was out last season.
