Bryan Edwards receiving MRI on right arm
by Jordan Epp | Sun, Jul 31st 9:06pm EDT
According to Michael Rothstein of ESPN, Atlanta Falcons WR Bryan Edwards went down with an arm injury during 11-on-11 drills in practice on Saturday. Head coach Arthur Smith doesn't believe it's "that bad," but Edwards will receive an MRI just in case. (Michael Rothstein on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Edwards was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Falcons for a 2023 fifth-round pick during the 2022 offseason. Although Edwards has not been a strong fantasy option yet in his first two seasons, finishing as WR129 and WR62, he has a new start in Atlanta where he adds to their theme of length at receiver — WR Drake London and TE Kyle Pitts included. The hope is that Smith is right and Edwards won't have to miss much time so he can continue to build chemistry with the team's new starting QB Marcus Mariota.
