According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, seventh-round rookie FB Zander Horvath is running with the Los Angeles Chargers' first team in practice. (Daniel Popper, The Athletic)
Fantasy Impact:
Horvath has quickly become a fan favorite among the Chargers' faithful, being a seventh-round pick out of Purdue. Chargers' offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi said they're still in the "discovery process" with Horvath, who was an RB in college, as they transition him more to a FB role. At Purdue, Horvath showed an ability to work in both phases of the offense at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. In fantasy, it might not translate to success for Horvath, but if the Chargers get more creative with their running game it could mean more opportunities for both RBs Austin Ekeler and rookie Isaiah Spiller.
