Treylon Burks reportedly ready to practice by Titans’ training camp

by Sam Ryner | Titans Correspondent | Sat, Jul 16th 4:15pm EDT

According to Turron Davenport, Tennessee Titans WR coach Rob Moore said he has no doubt that Treylon Burks will be ready to practice when the team's training camp begins on July 27th. Burks was unable to practice for the majority of the Titans OTAs and mandatory June minicamp due to asthma complications. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Burks, who was selected by the Titans in the first round of April’s NFL Draft, has had a bumpy start to his first NFL offseason. Burks joined the Titans with big shoes to fill as the de facto A.J. Brown replacement after Tennessee traded Brown to the Eagles and selected Burks with a pick they acquired in the trade. Ironically, Burks most common player comp during the pre-draft process was Brown, with both WRs having elite size and run after the catch ability for the position. Burks asthma issues have prevented him from building on the-field chemistry with QB Ryan Tannehill up to this point, but it would bode well for Burks redraft outlook if he were able to participate in a full training camp. Burks came from an Arkansas program that fed him the ball through a high volume of manufactured touches, so he may have a bigger than usual learning curve when it comes to running a full NFL route tree, but his elite physical traits make him a high upside player.
