Tyreek Hill 'deep in talks' regarding extension

by Andersen Pickard | Dolphins Correspondent | Wed, Mar 16th 1:05pm EDT

The Chiefs and wide receiver Tyreek Hill are "deep in talks on a contract extension," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. If finalized, the pact would pay the speedy pass-catcher more than $20 million per year while also creating cap space for Kansas City. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Hill is currently set to earn $18,035,000 this season, but his cap number is north of $20 million. Agreeing to an extension would benefit both Hill, who gets more money, and the Chiefs, who create more immediate cap space. Through 17 games this past season, he caught 111 passes for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns. Heading into 2022, he ranks as a mid-range WR1 option.
