The veteran quarterback will continue to serve as Justin Herbert's back-up. Heading into his 13th year in the league, Daniel has only started five games while appearing in 70. Teams enjoy having veteran QBs in that back-up role and Daniel fits the profile perfectly for a Chargers team that came so close to making the playoffs.
