On Monday, the Chargers continued to bolster their weak defense by signing former Patriots standout CB J.C. Jackson to a five-year, $82.5 million contract. He will receive $40 million of the contract guaranteed. The veteran cornerback was second in the NFL in interceptions in 2022 with eight, that's more than the entire Chargers defense in 2022 who had only seven. Jackson has led the NFL in interceptions since the start of 2018.
