Michael Gallup, Cowboys close to a deal

The Cowboys and free agent to be WR Michael Gallup are reportedly close to a new deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The two sides hope to have a deal in place before Gallup can hit free agency. (Twitter)

With the news that Amari Cooper is likely to be cut or traded, bringing back Gallup became a higher priority, as he is likely to be cheaper, coming off an injury. Ceedee Lamb will need help in the WR room, as Cedrick Wilson is also free agent. Retaining Gallup is huge for Dak Prescott, as he needs all the weapons he can get.
