Ian Rapoport of NFL Network notes that Chargers coach Brandon Staley was optimistic about Austin Ekeler's ankle injury following Sunday's Week 14 win over the Giants. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

It seems as if Ekeler re-aggravated the ankle injury that put him on the injury report leading up to Week 14. The Chargers and Chiefs play on Thursday night in Week 15, which makes this an injury situation to monitor throughout the week, however.
