Jimmy Garoppolo throws for 326 yards and a pair of scores

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was 28-for-40 for 326 yards to go along with two touchdowns and an interception in a 31-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Garoppolo's performance looks better on paper than it was in real life. The Niners dug themselves into a 14-0 hole in the first quarter, forcing Garoppolo to match a season-high with 40 passing attempts. He found George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk for his two touchdown passes in the second and third quarters, respectively, but he was intercepted by Budda Baker late in the fourth quarter as San Francisco attempted to mount what would have been an improbable comeback. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan noted that Garoppolo played "all right" after the game and that he isn't thinking about starting Trey Lance anytime soon, per insider Adam Beasley. That's not a ringing endorsement but it assures us that he'll be under center for the Niners' Week 10 battle with the Rams on Sunday Night Football. He does have a little momentum in his favor as he's thrown for over 322 yards in back-to-back weeks, which have led to his two best fantasy performances of the season.
