New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston has officially been named the team's starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, per Adam Schefter. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
On Monday night, Winston threw two touchdown passes to Marquez Callaway against the Jacksonville Jaguars, completing 9-of-10 pass attempts for 123 yards and two touchdowns. This performance was markedly better than the production delivered by Taysom Hill, who completed 11-of-20 pass attempts for 138 yards and a touchdown. Winston last started for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019, throwing for over 5,000 passing yards and finishing with an infamous 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. Winston is currently QB32 in half-PPR formats, meaning he will be available on nearly all fantasy league waiver wires.
