Alex Smith announces his retirement

Veteran QB and 2020 NFL comeback player of the year Alex Smith announced his retirement today on Instagram. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Smith was a solid NFL quarterback for several teams throughout his career. A former No. 1 overall pick, he also had some big fantasy performances once he got to the Chiefs. Seeing Smith return to the NFL field and start for Washington last season after his devastating leg injury was a true inspiration, and he will be missed around the league.
