Baltimore Ravens All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) has undergone a second surgery on his left ankle after suffering the season-ending injury in November. (Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Stanley received a five-year, $98.5 million contract extension days before suffering a nasty left ankle injury against the Steelers. He has now undergone two successful surgeries and is expected back for the 2021 season opener. However, Ravens RT Orlando Brown Jr. filled in at left tackle during Stanley's absence at the end of 2020 and performed at a very high-level. Brown has gone on record previously stating that he is only looking for opportunities to play at left tackle full-time after Baltimore has expressed interest in returning him to right tackle. Protecting mobile star quarterback Lamar Jackson is the top priority, so expect Baltimore to develop a contingency plan in the hypothetical scenario where Stanley is not fully recovered by Week 1 and Brown ends up leaving to play left tackle for another team in 2021.
