With Joyned set to have a cap hit of $9.95 million in 2021, the move makes a lot of sense in this cap environment. With the Raiders making several moves to free up salary cap including the releases of veterans Richie Incognito and Gabe Jackson along with the rumors of Trent Brown being shopped, the Raiders are clearly searching for cap space for 2021. Joyner now becomes the third starter the Raiders have released this week.
