The Lions are rumored to be in contact with several teams about the possibility of trading their backup QB. Reports say that Daniel is viewed as the perfect mentor for a team with a young QB as Daniel himself was mentored by legendary QB Drew Brees. If the veteran QB is to be traded, it would save the Lions $2.3 million in cap space.
