Cole McDonald signs with the Cardinals

On February 4, 2021 Cole McDonald signed a reserve/futures contract with the Arizona Cardinals. McDonald was a 7th round selection by the Titans in the 2020 NFL Draft, but was released by Tennessee on August 19, 2020. Subsequently he had a workout with the Panthers on August 23, but was not signed. During the fall season he played with the Conquerors of the Spring League. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This offseason the Cardinals will be looking to add some depth to their quarterback room behind superstar Kyler Murray. At this time McDonald joins former CFLer Chris Streveler as the only other quarterback under contract. Cole McDonald will have to have a strong offseason to make the final roster in September.
