DeMeco Ryans and Eagles reach a new two-year deal

The Eagles continue to shore up their LB core for the 2015 season once again with securing DeMeco Ryans for the next two seasons. The new deal is a two-year contract worth $7.5 million in base salary. (NFL.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Look for Ryans to bring continued leadership to the Eagles defense as he will most likely be third string to the emerging Mychal Kendricks and newcomer ILB Kiko Alonso. After suffering a second torn Achilles' tendon in 2015, Ryans might be looking at more of a part time player on defense rather than his full time ILB status he has had over his 9 year career. He is trending down for IDP purposes.
