The Los Angeles Rams signed running back Raymond Calais off Tampa Bay's practice squad on Sunday, according to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's pretty rare for a player to be added to a team's practice squad and then sign with another team on the same day, but the Rams obviously saw some potential in Calais. It's likely that another move the Rams were planning to make didn't work out, and Calais was Plan B. Either way, he is now on their active roster instead of Tampa Bay's practice squad, though he still has minimal fantasy value.
