Fantasy Impact:
Montgomery exited Wednesday’s practice early after slipping on the practice field during a handoff exchange. Initial reports stated Montgomery went down with a non-contact injury. After further evaluation, he was diagnosed with a groin strain and will be out the next two-to-four-weeks. With Week 1 two and half weeks away, he will most likely miss the opener. Look for Tarik Cohen to handle the majority of the carries out of the Bears backfield until Montgomery is able to return. The 23-year-old is currently 24th among all running backs in the expert consensus rankings, but that number could drop with the latest injury news.
