Earl Thomas: Jerry Jones says Cowboys aren't out of sweepstakes

During an interview on Tuesday morning, Jerry Jones said the Cowboys aren't out of the Earl Thomas sweepstakes. (Jane Slater on Twitter)

Jones said that the Cowboys haven't visited with Thomas but added that doing so would probably be the next step. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported this morning that Dallas wouldn't be signing Thomas, but Jones' words don't match his report. Other teams will likely jump into the "sweepstakes" in the coming weeks.
