Saints rookie Tommy Stevens has been moved to the tight end position by the Saints coaching staff. Stevens, who was drafted in the 7th round this year, played quarterback throughout his college career. (Luke Johnson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Saints aren't shy of having their players switch positions, even at the quarterback position. New Orleans look to be taking the same approach with Stevens that they did with Taysom Hill. Stevens will probably move around the field a bit, and could be used in some trick plays throughout the season. The saints had two back-up tight ends opt out of the season, in Jason Vander Laan and Cole Wick. The position change for Stevens is most likely to add depth for the Saints' tight ends, but don't be surprised if they get Stevens involved throwing the ball as well.
