LB Dont'a Hightower has decided to opt out of the 2020 season. He was scheduled to make $8 million in base salary. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Hightower has decided to opt of the 2020 season. He had a baby in mid-July and becomes one of four Patriots to voluntarily opt out. Hightower is a three-time Super Bowl champ and former Pro Bowler. The NFL deadline to opt out of the 2020 season is August 3.
