Although this rumor seems to be extremely speculative, Colin Cowherd corroborated the rumblings when he replied to Simmons' statement with "It's talked about." Edelman has been Tom Brady's security blanket for the last six years, compiling 530 receptions and 32 touchdowns over the time. With Brady in Tampa Bay and Lions' coach Matt Patricia making moves for a lot of ex-Patriots, keep a close eye on this developing story. If Edelman were to move to Detroit, he would most likely slip into the second or third option on the receiver depth chart, a significant drop-off from his days as the Patriots' number one receiver.
