XFL star CB Deatrick Nichols has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, announced Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis on Tuesday. (New Orleans Saints on Twitter)

Another XFL player is signing with an NFL team. Nichols, a standout at the University of South Florida, spent the early part of 2020 as a member of the Houston Roughnecks. He led the league with three interceptions before the season ended abruptly due to coronavirus, and now he’ll look to make the most of his opportunity with the Saints.
