Anthony Harris receives franchise tag from Vikings ahead of deadline

The Vikings have placed the franchise tag on free safety Anthony Harris, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

This was another surprise franchise tag move and came shortly before Monday's 12pm EST deadline. The Vikings made a flurry of moves ahead of Monday's deadline that made the tagging of Harris possible, and they will now be able to negotiate a deal with him or work out a trade with another team.
