Tye Smith returns a blocked FG for a touchdown
by Kaiyo Funaki | Mon, Dec 2nd 3:10am EST
Tye Smith posted five solo tackles, two assisted tackles, one forced fumble, and returned a blocked field goal attempt 72 yards for a score as the Titans left Indianapolis with a 31-17 win.
Fantasy Impact:
Smith was involved in two of the bigger plays of an AFC South matchup with important playoff implications. He scored the first touchdown of his career when an Adam Vinatieri field goal attempt to give the Colts a 20-17 lead was blocked, and he took the loose ball to the house to give the Titans an unexpected 24-17 advantage late in the fourth quarter. He then stripped Ross Travis just before the two-minute warning, ending any hopes of Colts comeback. Smith ultimately had a game to remember, but it may be hard to replicate his success when he faces the Raiders next week.
