Jay Glazer of Fox Sports tweeted Saturday morning that the Seahawks and Texans have parameters in place on a trade that will send disgruntled pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney to Seattle. Glazer reports that the deal is contingent on Clowney and “other players involved” passing physicals. (Jay Glazer on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Clowney is on his way to take a physical with the Seahawks, per Glazer. The former first overall pick has missed all of training camp and offseason activities while refusing to sign his franchise tender. Clowney has played all five of his seasons with the Texans, making the Pro Bowl in each of the last three while recording 29 career sacks. There is no word yet on who the other player(s) involved are, but speculation indicates an offensive lineman will be heading from Seattle to Houston as part of the deal.
