Pierre Garcon headed to injured reserve

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Pierre Garcon is being placed on injured reserve this week due to a lingering knee injury, according to a report from senior reporter Joe Fann. (Joe Fann on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Garcon has not played since Week 9 due to a knee injury and will finish the season with 24 catches for 286 yards and one touchdown in eight games. That is obviously not the kind of production that Garcon and the 49ers were hoping for this season, and it marks the second straight subpar year after signing a five-year contract before the 2017 season.
