Datone Jones upgraded to limited participant

Cowboys defensive lineman Datone Jones (knee) was upgraded from non participant to limited on Thursday’s practice report. It was the first time he participated in any capacity since the preseason. (Jon Machota on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Jones was initially a candidate for injured reserve but when DL Billy Price was claimed by the Raiders rather than re-signing with Dallas, the Cowboys decided to keep Jones on the active roster. Jones was signed late last season after he was released by the 49ers. In the four games (two starts) he played for Dallas, he recorded one sack and 15 combined tackles. He’s unlikely to be ready for action in Week 2 but the return to the practice field is a significant step in the right direction.
