Kendall Wright works out for Patriots
by Jody Smith | Wed, Sep 5th 8:51pm EDT
The Patriots hosted numerous veterans for a tryout Wednesday, including wide receiver Kendall Wright, who was beaten out by Laquon Treadwell for Minnesota's WR3 duties. With Julian Edelman suspended and the Patriots thin at receiver, Wright could provide a temporary boost out of the slot. (Mike Reiss via Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Wright, 28, spent five seasons with the Titans and played for the Bears in 2017, where he caught 59 balls for 614 yards. Wright had an excellent 94/1,079/2 campaign for the Titans back in 2013 but has otherwise been a steady, but unspectacular inside receiver. Even if he were signed by the team, Wright would be hard pressed to make much of an impact with such limited time to learn New England's complex offense.
