Dolphins claim former safety Don Jones

The Dolphins have claimed safety Don Jones, their 2013 seventh-round draft pick off waivers after release by the New England Patriots. Miami cut corner Lowell Rose to make room for Jones. (Sun Sentinel)

Miami has lost a number of defensive backs to injury including Jamar Taylor (shoulder) and Cortland Finnegan (ankle). Jones, who can play corner, safety, and is a gunner on special teams, should be an immediate contributor.
