NFL.com reporter Herbie Toepe is reporting that the Saints have agreed to terms with free agent running back Terrance West. (Herbie Teope on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The details of the contract haven't been specified, but West is clearly being brought in to help fill the void left by Mark Ingram's four-game suspension. This is West's third team in five years, though we wouldn't expect his stay to be long with the Saints, either. After hearing about backups Boston Scott, Jonathan Williams, and Trey Edmunds the last couple weeks, the Saints decided that they needed more depth at the position. The Saints have been hosting a bevy of running backs, including Jamaal Charles, so they wanted a veteran who could walk in and play right away. I'd expect West to have a 8-10 touch role over the first four weeks, giving him low-end flex potential, provided he makes the team.
