Justin Hunter getting first-team snaps at OTAs
by Jody Smith | Sun, Jun 3rd 3:28pm EDT
ESPN staff writer Jeremy Fowler reports that WR Justin Hunter has received "a few first-team reps alongside Darrius Heyward-Bey" during Pittsburgh's OTAs. Fowler also mentioned that Hunter recently dominated a red-zone drill and made several impressive jump-ball catches in the end-zone. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Hunter showing up big in the summer has become an annual tradition, along with his disappearing act in the regular season. Martavis Byrant's departure opens up the WR3 job in Pittsburgh, but Hunter--who played just 65 snaps last season-- is unlikely to beat out Heyward-Bey or second-rounder James Washington, who is the favorite to win that job in camp. Unless Hunter pulls off a miraculous preseason showing to start the season as the Steelers' WR3, he can be ignored in all formats.
