Jay Cutler will return but only as starter

Jay Cutler says he doesn't want to move again, and would entertain playing for the Dolphins again, but only as a starter. “I wouldn’t want to move again and go somewhere and just to back up,” said Cutler. Even though his return to the NFL might not have been as impactful as he had hoped, he viewed the experience in a favorable light. “It was a great experience,” Cutler said. “It’s a really good locker room, really good coaches, great organization, great owner. I had a really good time.” (Miami Herald)
Fantasy Impact:
Problem for Cutler, is that overall, he didn't play well this year. Miami paid him $10 million. Secondly, the Dolphins only signed him (bringing him out of retirement) as a replacement for injured starter, Ryan Tannehill. Cutler isn't likely to return. Bigger story will be if the Dolphins decide to move on from Tannehill, even if he returns healthy.
