Holmes sees more action than expected

With the second half injury to Alshon Jeffery, Santonio Holmes was on the field for more snaps than expected. Holmes turned those extra snaps into 3 catches on 5 targets and 21 yards.
Fantasy Impact:
Holmes is still learning the playbook, as he signed with Chicago less than a month ago. While Josh Morgan saw more snaps (50 for Morgan to 28 for Holmes), Santonio was more productive in his limited time on the field. Expect Holmes to pass Morgan as the No.3 WR in the next few weeks, if he hasn't already. Keep the former Jet on your watchlist in deep leagues. If Alshon were to miss an extended period of time with his hamstring injury, Holmes could be worth a waiver wire pickup.
