Chiefs LB Joe Mays placed on IR

The Kansas City Chiefs placed LB Joe Mays (wrist) on IR with designation for return and officially announced the signing of S Kurt Coleman. (Herbie Teope on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Another blow to the KC defense as their inside linebacker underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his right wrist. Designated to return, the Chiefs hope he can get back on the field after 6-8 weeks. The 5'11", 244-pound Mays has 194 career tackles (141 solo), 1 ½ sacks, six passes defensed and a forced fumble. He has appeared in 61 career games with 35 starts. Despite their woes, Kansas City boasts a defense that is poised for another strong season.
