The 49ers brass has been quick to act this offseason with turning over players they feel don't fit their system. Lynch has shown the ability to be a talented pass rusher with 12.5 sacks combined over his first two seasons, but an injury-shortened 2016 coupled with this current development may land him on the chopping block. He could be a useful piece to any team if he proves his mind is in the right place, but where he'll play in 2017 is up in the air, even if he stays on the 49ers as they transition to a completely new defensive configuration.
