Mike Tolbert cut by Panthers

Fantasy Impact:
After playing five seasons in Carolina, the Panthers have released Tolbert on Tuesday. The veteran fullback was beginning to be phased out of the Panthers' offense in 2016. While he appeared in all 16 games, he only accumulated 186 yards on 45 touches and a touchdown. It was his worst statistical season since 2014. Tolbert, 31, should have no problem catching on with a new club for 2017 as the fullback position appears to be making a comeback in today's NFL landscape.
