Wilson put on I.R., career likely over

Giants running back David Wilson was placed on Injured Reserve today, ending his season. The burner he suffered in practice last week caused "numbness" in his hands and lower extremities, and his spinal surgeon advised him to quit playing football. Wilson has taken that advice. This is a real shame for Wilson and fans of the NFL. On Monday Wilson said, "I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me, or pity me. I lived my dream. A lot of people only get to dream their dream. I lived that dream." He finished his career with 7 total touchdowns, and set a Giants team record for kickoff return yards in 2012.
